Hi, I’m Naman Mutalik Desai, also known as The Ridge Guy. This blog started as a way for me to write out my thoughts on the NBA and the game of basketball. Now, this site has a broader purpose: share the story of The Ridge Guy. Here, you may find some cool projects I’ve worked on, reports and critical essays, and ever-evolving takes on basketball. I hope to post here more often as my senior year at Tesla STEM draws to a close.
I also care deeply about community and making a difference. I have served as a Youth Ambassador with the Gates Foundation, worked for the City of Redmond as a youth basketball referee, and explored projects on sustainability and environmental justice as a Mike Yarrow Peace Fellow. Each opportunity has reminded me that positive change often starts small, with simple acts of support and connection.
