I know you guys read the title thinking how Stephen Curry’s finessing of the three-point art is holding him back. This is about his shot attempt distribution in seasons prior compared to now. The Warriors are doing great, but they could be better, and that starts with Steph. What worries me is how much he’s pulling up from three this season. He’s launching a career-high 13.5 threes per game. This is after another career-high of 12.7 threes per game last season. This season is also Steph’s worst shooting season. He’s only converting on 39.8% of them, too. Not to mention he’s shooting career-low percentages from the paint. I also noticed that he’s going off-ball a lot more than last season. I think that if he starts creating on-ball for himself, he can drive to the paint and finish. I also feel like the mid-range is underrated and under-appreciated. The mid-range isn’t bad, it’s just bad if a player sucks at shooting. If Stephen adds these things to his bag, then I have no doubt that he will walk away with a third scoring title and his third MVP. Who knows, when Klay comes back, the Warriors championship will be nothing but certain.
